Riding Lessons at Indigo Road Farm

At Indigo Road Farm we provide quality instruction for the most
beginner riders as well as for those competing at the top of our sport. Our program is designed to insure the
safety of each rider and to teach them sound fundamentals of hunt seat
riding as well as horsemanship. Not only do we hope to instill love and
appreciation for horses, but also teach self discipline and
responsibility through the proper care of them.
Hour lessons $45
half hour lessons $30
lesson packages 5 $45 lessons at $200 (must be taken weekly)
all lessons include grooming and tacking, learning
all the equipment, and riding. Students are also expected to put their
horses away at the end of the lesson
Necessary Equipment its like football, you don't go wearing a tutu Properly fitted astm sei certified helmet Paddock boots and half chaps or tall Leather boots and breeches black gloves all of these are available locally, please see our links page for recommendations
Lessons are offered Monday through Saturday We have school horses and ponies suited to every rider's ability Maintained arena with professionally set courses Home horse shows Holiday Camps Monthly clinics Pony Club on Saturdays and Holidays

a call and schedule a time to come by, check out our farm and our
horses, and grab a lesson packet that covers many questions you may
have- 864-906-1412 EVERYONE IS EXPECTED TO OBSERVE 5 mph speed limit on the farm or I will be chatting with you!!!!! Arena Etiquette Parents are welcome to watch from the designated picnic seating area but it is suggested that most lessons are not observed(parents and families usually make your kids nervous believe it or not) Interruptions of any kind are not permitted Visiting children must be supervised **anything can spook a great horse on a bad day, this is for everyone's safety
Barn and Farm Rules Only feed treats to your assigned pony or horse Only students are allowed in the aisle past the front entry in the barn PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY ANYWHERE ON MY FARM THERE ARE ANIMALS AND KIDS observe a speed limit of 5 mph
