Brooke Walton has ridden since the age of 5. At 12 she spent a week at Ann Kursinki's training with George Morris, all thanks to Lee Cone. At age 15 she moved to Camden, SC for an apprenticeship with Aaron Vale riding show and racehorses. As a junior she qualified for the local and national medal finals, catch rode numerous horses all over the country and was even invited to Monterrey, Mexico and Caracas, Venezuela to represent the United States. She attended Carson Newman College in Jefferson City Tennessee with a major in English and an Emphasis is Creative Writing while training with and working for Kim Burnette and Dennis Mitchell of Kimberden. She spent seasons riding racehorses at Classic Mile Track for Jimmy Miranda in Ocala. After college she returned home in 2003 to start Indigo Road.

1997 competed in first Grand Prix(at 16) with Alfredo at Conyers Spring, $25000 GP of Chateau Elan, $50,000 GP of Roanoke. Champion Junior Jumper Raleigh Spring with Prime Time.

1999 Hits Ocala circuit champion and reserve, 18-35 with Marquette and Steel Your Face, reserve circuit champion 18-35 equitation, winner of the Classic every week but the first. 1999 winner of the Windy City Hunter classic with Junior Mint weeks 1 and 2 as well as champion and reserve of division. 1999 5th place out of 52 competitors Kentucky $10,000 High Jr/ao jumper classic with Oliver Stone. 1999 Qualified and competed Marquette at Washington International and Zone 4 fourth place year end award
